What is Hercules Backup?

With Hercules Backup you are able to automate your daily backups and save all your important files. It comes with a set of features that will save you time and reduce the hassle in having to manually back up your files. Simply set the date and time you want your files to be automatically uploaded. Internet access is required. For more information on how to use Hercules go to www.orbitfiles.com/hercules

Hercules is currently available ONLY in Windows platform.

What are the Sub Accounts?

Sub Accounts are available only for Olympus Members who can allow anyone to upload any files on their account. This feature is suitable for businesses or teams that want their members to upload files, such as projects, photos, spreadsheets onto the team's account. The Zeus or Olympus Member can select at which folder external users or visitors can upload their files.

Do I need to download any software to access my account?

Orbitfiles.com does not require any software in order to access your account; you simply need Internet Access from any PC at any location.

Which Browsers are supported?

Orbitfiles.com is thoroughly tested to work in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7,  Firefox., Opera 9 and Safari 4. More to be added soon.

What is the use of " Allow public access to my files " ?

By enabling public access to your files, your files will be published at your personal webfiles page at http://username.orbitfiles.com . Doing so, you are able to give to your friends your personal webfiles page url, so they can see either all or shared of your files if you have enabled public access.

What is maximum file size i can upload at once? Is there limit in the bandwidth used?

Zeus  and Olympus Pro users can upload files up to 1 Gb of size.

Zeus Pro users can use 200 Gb of monthly bandwidth and Olympus Pro up to 300 Gb.

For how long will my files be stored at Orbitfiles.com Servers?

Your files will remain on our server for ever.

What kind of files can i upload at my account?

With unlimited storage space you can upload any kind of files such as, documents, movies, MP3s, presentations, photos and many more. With our advanced features you can share your files easily with friends and colleagues. You can also drag and drop entire folders at Hercules and save time.

Can i share my files with many recipients?

Yes you can, simply add as many recipients' email addresses as you want at the " send to " box when you want to share a file. Make sure you put (,) between them.

What is a shared folder and why do I need to set up a shared folder?

With Shared Folders you can easily share files with your friends or colleagues. When you share a folder, a guest user can access the host folder as if the folder was guest’s PC drive. Shared Folders allow teams to exchange files fast and securely. Here at the steps to do that.

1. Select a folder at My Storage
2. Click on the folder and select "Share"
3. Send Notification to the user you want to share the folder with
4. Sharing is enabled
5. To disable sharing, click on the folder and press "Disable Share"

Here is an example of how shared folders work. E.g a college professor wants to distribute studying materials to his students every Monday. He creates a folder at his Orbitfiles.com account where he uploads the materials. Then he shares the folder with all his students by sending them a notification with the link to download the folder. Every Sunday he uploads new materials on the shared folder where students can just visit the link of the folder and download the new studying materials. He can even password protect the folder for greater security. No more emailing large files back and forth, saves time and it is secure.

How many plans does Orbitfiles offer?

Orbitfiles offers 2 plans to choose from. Zeus comes with unlimited storage for just $9,99/month or $59,99/year with 10days free trial and Olympus Pro with 10 days free trial for demanding business for just $15/month or $149 per year. With Olympus Pro businesses get a set of great features to help them grow. Unlimited storage space is included.

How can i update my account information?

Log in, go to " My account " and CONFIRM CHANGES with your existing password. Even if you want to change your password you must then type your existing password to confirm changes.

What kind of payment method do you accept?

Payments for Zeus and Olympus plans are now proccessed with Paypal.com or 2checkout.

Is it secure to upload files on Orbitfiles.com?

Orbitfiles is using Comodo Group Service to provide a reliable and secure platform. File uploads can be encrypted if you use Hercules. During logging in check the option " Use SSL ". To upload files securely from our website go to https://www.orbitfiles.com

Can I access my account over my cell phone or PDA?

Accessing your account is also available either via your cell phone or your PDA, simply go to http://m.orbitfiles.com
